Andrew Kohut was an American pollster and nonpartisan commentator on public affairs. He was the founding director of the Pew Research Center and led its Global Attitudes Project. Kohut was president of the Gallup Organization from 1979 to 1989 before founding Princeton Survey Research Associates. He authored “America Against the World” with Bruce Stokes, exploring global perceptions of the U.S. Kohut passed away from chronic lymphocytic leukemia on September 8, 2015.
