Chi Pang-yuan

Chi Pang-yuan (1924-2024) was an internationally recognized educator, scholar, and author. She was a professor emeritus of English and comparative literature at National Taiwan University and co-editor of Chinese Literature in the Second Half of a Modern Century: A Critical Survey (2000) and The Last of the Whampoa Breed: Stories of the Chinese Diaspora (Columbia, 2003), among other books. Chi turned 100 in early 2024 and died in March of the same year.
