Liu Xiaobo was a prominent political activist, literary critic, and writer best known for his work June Fourth Elegies. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2010 for his “long and nonviolent struggle for fundamental human rights in China.” Liu Xiaobo dedicated his life to advocating for democracy and freedom, enduring imprisonment and censorship for his beliefs. He passed away in 2017, leaving a lasting legacy in the fight for human rights.
