Louisa Lim is the author of The People’s Republic of Amnesia: Tiananmen Revisited, which was shortlisted for the Orwell Prize and the Helen Bernstein Book Award for Excellence in Journalism. With over two decades of experience covering China and Hong Kong for the BBC and NPR, she has also contributed to The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Guardian. Raised in Hong Kong, she now resides in Australia with her two children and teaches at the University of Melbourne.
