Victoria Riskin is a distinguished writer, producer, and former psychologist who has made significant contributions to both television and human rights advocacy. She adapted Willa Cather’s My Ántonia for television and produced Carson McCullers’s The Member of the Wedding and The Last Best Year, drawing from her expertise as a psychologist. Riskin served as president of the Writers Guild of America West and spent twelve years as a director of Human Rights Watch. She resides on Martha’s Vineyard with her husband, writer David W. Rintels.
