Derek Sandhaus is the author of four books on Chinese history and culture, including the recent Baijiu: The Essential Guide to Chinese Spirits. In 2018, he co-founded Ming River Sichuan Baijiu with, China’s oldest continuously operating distillery, and now serves as Ming River’s communications director and editor at drinkbaijiu.com. He resides in Washington, DC, with his wife and dog.
